Organisation & Structure

The Wiltshire Strategic Economic Partnership (WSEP) was established on 1st April 2007, having previously been in existence as the Wiltshire and Swindon Economic Partnership. Click here to view WSEP's Memorandum of Association.

WSEP promotes the economic well-being of Wiltshire, as defined by the boundaries of Wiltshire Council. Its members are drawn from a range of private, public and third sector organisations and it is chaired by someone from the private sector.

WSEP is a Company Limited by Guarantee, but it is a strategic body without resources of its own to deliver economic development and regeneration activity. Its partners are therefore responsible for taking forward agreed areas of work to develop and improve the economy of Wiltshire. It is part of Wiltshire's Family of Partnerships, headed by the Wiltshire Assembly which is the main place where Wiltshire's organisations come together to decide what needs to happen in order for Wiltshire to build a bright future for itself.

There are five work groups that will be activated for future WSEP work. The approach is complimentary to the ‘Action for Wiltshire’ Business Support Programmes and the delivery of the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) agenda. All work groups will be chaired by a new or existing member of the WSEP Board, who will report to the Board each month. These groups will be delivery focused and centered around the completion of projects to fulfill the agenda of WSEP and more broadly, SWLEP.
